He grabbed the Pokeball along with a cinnamon bun, and released Scolipede before him. but with the help of his newfound power, they would get there eventually. They weren't the strongest they could be yet. He realized he'd never actually released the Pokemon since that day at the construction site - unlike the rest of his team Scolipede didn't exactly fit in his coat pockets.īut Simon wasn't going to let that stop him - he couldn't have the most powerful Pokemon on his team go alone without meeting the rest of them, after all. As he did so, his hand brushed against something… it was the gray Pokeball from Blackspear. He reached into his bag and searched for the remaining cinnamon buns - the bag had been feeling a lot lighter lately, so there probably weren’t much left. Simon smiled but kept his mouth shut, any teasing would probably ruin the moment. Every time Larvesta would execute a risky turn or bump into a rock, Snom's expression would shift and she would let out an angry hiss, as if scolding him worryingly. The little ice bug was far from mingling with her teammates, but her eye was fixed on the baby Pokemon flying above them. As Spewpa and Burmy helped to push Anorith into a proper pool of water, Simon noticed Snom had actually chosen to leave her hiding spot for once. They just had to brush up on their ancestral bug-speak.Īnd they weren't the only Pokemon he'd seen change in recently either. He was glad the team had been getting along with the newcomer despite the… communication barriers. Even Spewpa and Burmy had decided to join in, gently helping guide the confused rock-type to an actual pool of water. Simon didn't have the heart to tell him the body of water was no more than a puddle - but the shrimp Pokemon didn't seem to care much. As soon as he fell out of Simon's pocket Anorith had bolted for the first pool of water in his line of sight, crawling across the ground excitedly with his wing-like fins. On command, the swarm of bugs emerged from the various parts of his coat and gathered around him, some eager to explore the new environment, while others seemed less at ease in the darkness. The young trainer sighed in relief as he made his way over to it and plopped himself onto the ground, taking off his backpack and whistling for his Pokemon to get off. Princess was quite energetic as well the Joltik was resting atop his hat and happily enjoying the sights of the familiar cave environment, no doubt due to its similarity to her home in the Eastern mines.Īs the tunnel he was walking through broke out into a cavern, Simon spotted a flatter, less rocky-looking area off the side of the path with a few boulders and shallow pools of water beside it perfect for a resting spot. Most of them were snuggled in his coat pockets, peeking out periodically to look at the shiny gemstones lining the walls, and Larvesta was flying around as usual, only ever stopping to land on Simon's shoulder and squeak excitedly about his newest shiny find. He'd returned his Blackspear suit to the HQ after the security assignment was complete, but other than that, he'd tried to unburden himself as much as possible to make up for the Pokemon. ![]() Not only was this cave system larger than the Eastern one the rising temperatures and humidity was really beginning to bother him now, and Simon was seriously beginning to consider an outfit change - not to mention the added weight of the growing Pokemon that were holed up in his coat. After several hours of walking in the mines, Simon was exhausted.
